You'll find yourself on Bruntsfield Place, that stretch where the neighbourhood gets properly good, and Tempo Perso sits there like it's always belonged. It's the kind of Italian restaurant that doesn't need to shout about itself—the room's warm without being precious, the sort of place where locals are three-deep at the bar on a Friday night. The menu reads like someone who actually cares has thought about it, proper Italian dishes done right, and the wine selection punches well above what you'd expect for the price point. Service moves at its own pace (which is rather fitting, given the name), and that's entirely the point.
