Ardnamurchan Scottish Restaurant & Bar
Proper Scottish cooking on Hope Street done right—no tartan theatrics, just excellent seafood and game in a buzzy, wood-lined room.

You walk into Ardnamurchan on Hope Street and immediately feel the weight of it—dark wood panelling, the kind of grown-up restaurant energy that makes you sit up straighter without realising. The kitchen takes Scottish ingredients seriously: langoustines that taste like the sea, venison that's handled with respect, fish that doesn't need much doing to it. It's the sort of place where locals actually book tables, not somewhere you stumble into on holiday. Service feels genuinely knowledgeable rather than performed, and they're clearly proud of what's coming out the kitchen. The bar's worth lingering at too—proper whisky list, naturally.
