Battlefield Rest does Italian food the way it should be done—unfussy, ingredient-led, and made by people who clearly give a toss. The room's got that warm, slightly worn-in feeling that comes from being a proper local favourite rather than trying too hard; exposed brick, honest lighting, the kind of place where regulars know their favourite table.
