Glaschu Restaurant & Bar

Proper Scottish cooking in a listed Georgian building on Royal Exchange Square, where they take their ingredients seriously.

You'll find yourself in one of Glasgow's most handsome corners when you push through the doors of Glaschu—that's the Gaelic name for the city, and they're not being coy about it. This is a restaurant that's genuinely interested in what Scotland does well: whether that's seafood from the west coast, game when it's in season, or the kind of beef that makes you wonder why you ever bothered anywhere else. The room itself is generous and elegant without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with the territory, all exposed stone and period features in a proper Georgian listed building. Service has that rare quality of being genuinely knowledgeable without being annoying about it.
