Proper Japanese comfort food in the city centre that doesn't try too hard to be fancy but gets everything absolutely spot on.

You'll find this unassuming spot right in the thick of Queen Street, where the business crowd mingles with students over steaming bowls of proper ramen and generous bento boxes. The interior keeps things simple – clean lines, wooden tables, and zero pretension – letting the food do all the talking.
The katsu curry here is genuinely excellent, with that perfect crispy coating that doesn't go soggy, whilst their chicken teriyaki bento gives you proper value for money without skimping on quality. Staff are efficiently friendly rather than over-the-top, and you can actually have a conversation without shouting over ambient whale noises or J-pop. It's the sort of place that does exactly what it says on the tin, which in Glasgow's increasingly flashy restaurant scene, feels refreshingly honest.
