You walk into Malo on Bothwell Street expecting some pretentious wine bar nonsense, but instead you find something altogether more grounded. It's the kind of place where the bartenders actually know what they're doing—proper technique, proper ingredients—but won't make you feel like an idiot for ordering a negroni. The room itself is refreshingly unfussy: minimal décor, good lighting, the sort of vibe that works whether you're catching up with mates after work or treating yourself to a proper drink on a Friday night.
