You're walking down Holland Street in the Merchant City and The State Bar just feels right — the kind of place where locals outnumber tourists, which is rare round here. Once you're in, there's genuine warmth to the space: dark wood, good lighting that doesn't make you squint, and staff who talk to you like they mean it.
