The Row Barge
Riverside pub with proper ales and a genuine local following. The sort of place where regulars actually know the landlord.

Head down to Riverside and you'll find yourself in one of Guildford's better-kept corners. The Row Barge sits right by the water, giving you that rare thing in town — actual breathing space and views that don't involve the high street. Inside, it's unpretentious and properly traditional; exposed beams, real fires when it's cold, and a serious drinks list that takes beer seriously without being annoying about it. You're just as welcome nursing a pint as you are grabbing food, and the whole place has that lived-in feel of somewhere that's been doing its thing for ages without needing to reinvent itself every six months.
