You wouldn't expect much from a supermarket bakery, but Iceland's Tower Ramparts branch does better than most. Tucked away in the shopping centre just off Tavern Street, it's where you'll find yourself grabbing emergency bread or picking up those frozen garlic baguettes that actually aren't terrible when you can't be bothered to trek to a proper bakery. The bakery section is small but functional – think pre-packaged rolls, basic loaves, and the occasional cream cake. Nothing fancy, but the prices are fair and it does the job when you're already doing your weekly shop. The staff are sound and the early opening hours mean you can sort yourself out before work if you've run out of breakfast options.
