Head up Highgate towards the town centre and you'll find yourself in one of Kendal's most deliberately undaunting cultural spaces. Brewery Arts isn't trying to be cool—it just is, because it does what it does without fuss. You'll walk into stripped-back brick, mismatched seating, and a genuine sense that people are here because they actually want to be, whether that's catching a film, a gig, or just nursing a drink whilst someone reads poetry in the corner.
