You'll walk past this cramped little place on Bennett Road a dozen times before realising it's exactly what Headingley's been missing. The dining room's nothing special – plastic chairs, basic tables, zero atmosphere – but that's entirely the point. This is about the food, and the food alone. The satay arrives still hissing from the grill, charred just right with a peanut sauce that's got proper heat behind the sweetness. Their beef rendang is the real deal – slow-cooked until it falls apart, with coconut and spices that build layers of flavour rather than just hitting you with generic curry powder. Bring your own wine (they don't charge corkage), order way too much, and prepare to become a regular.
