You know what you're getting when you climb the stairs to this Highcross outpost, and that's exactly the point. Tucked away on the upper level of Leicester's busiest shopping centre, this particular Nando's has mastered the art of turning tables without making you feel rushed – no mean feat when half of Leicester seems to descend here after a Saturday shop. The chicken comes properly butterflied and the chips arrive hot, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how many Nando's locations mess this up. The staff actually know their sauces and won't judge you for asking what's in the marinade (again). Yes, it's chain food, but when you're flagging after hauling shopping bags around Highcross and need something reliable that won't break the bank, this does the job admirably.
