You're staying over or just need somewhere dependable near the train station, and the restaurant at this St Georges Way tower block turns out to be surprisingly competent. The breakfast buffet runs until a civilised 10:30am on weekends, which is more than you can say for most places around here, and they don't scrimp on the proper stuff – decent sausages, actual butter, coffee that won't make you wince. The evening menu sticks to crowd-pleasing territory with fish and chips, burgers, and curry that won't win awards but won't disappoint either. It's the sort of place that works when you can't be bothered venturing into the Cultural Quarter for dinner, or when you're meeting relatives who find anywhere more adventurous intimidating. The staff are genuinely helpful rather than going through the motions.
