You walk into Boisdale and immediately clock the mahogany panelling, the leather banquettes, the oil paintings of Highland estates on the walls. It's the kind of place where the staff know what they're doing—they've got the rhythm down. The menu reads like a love letter to Scotland: Aberdeen Angus steaks that actually taste like something, venison that doesn't taste gamey in a bad way, langoustines that arrive looking properly alive. There's a wine list that goes on for days and a whisky selection that'll make you realise you've been doing it wrong. It's not cheap (you're in Belgravia, after all), but the kind of expensive that doesn't feel like a rip-off because everything's been thought through.
