Walk into Bottarga and you're immediately somewhere else—whitewashed walls, natural light pouring through big windows, and the smell of quality olive oil and seafood doing proper work in the kitchen. It's on King's Road in Chelsea, but it doesn't have that stuffy, try-hard energy you'd expect. The menu reads like someone spent time actually eating in Greece and came back determined to do it right: think beautifully rendered fish, proper meze that aren't just filler, and a wine list that knows what it's doing. You'll notice the locals here aren't mucking about—they're there because the food's genuinely good, not because it's fashionable.
