Côte Hay's Galleria
French brasserie with proper Parisian swagger overlooking the Thames. Steak frites done right, without the pretension.
🍴 Frenchsophisticatedrelaxedromantictraditionalrestaurant
You're walking through Hay's Galleria on the South Bank, that converted Victorian warehouse with its glass atrium roof, and suddenly you want to sit down with a glass of red and some actual French food. Côte delivers exactly that—it's a proper brasserie, all burgundy banquettes and brass fixtures, where they take their steak seriously but won't make you feel like you're being judged for not knowing the wine list backwards. The frites are crispy, the béarnaise isn't oversweetened, and everything feels appropriately Parisian without being fussy. It's the kind of place you'd actually return to, not just Instagram.
