Camden Head

Walk into Camden Head and you'll immediately clock why this place has earned its stripes. It's the kind of pub where the bar staff know what they're doing, the soundsystem doesn't feel aggressively curated, and you can actually have a conversation without shouting. The Camden Walk location means you're tucked away from the madness of the main road, but close enough that you're not in some dead zone. They've got a decent selection of ales on tap, the usual suspects are well-kept, and they don't make a meal out of ordering a pint. Food-wise, it's honest gastropub fare—nothing trying too hard, everything reasonably priced for the area.
