Coffee Island takes their beans seriously without the pretension—you'll see the grinder action, hear the milk being steamed properly, and taste the difference. The space is compact and buzzy, packed with locals grabbing their morning fix and lingering over laptops. Pastries rotate but they're consistently excellent, and the flat whites are genuinely some of the best in the neighbourhood. It's the kind of place that's been doing good coffee for years without needing to shout about it.
