Crown & Sceptre

You'll find yourself on a quiet stretch of Holland Road in West Kensington, pushing through the door of what looks like a proper local but absolutely isn't playing it safe with the food. The Crown & Sceptre does that thing really well — comfortable enough that you'd pop in for a pint, serious enough that you'd book ahead for dinner. The kitchen takes British ingredients seriously, turning out the kind of food that makes you actually want to eat at your neighbourhood pub instead of scrolling for somewhere 'better'. The wine list is genuinely interesting without being obnoxious about it, and staff actually know what they're talking about.
