Unlike the multiplex chains, this place actually programmes with thought — expect everything from Criterion releases to the latest studio fare, often with live introductions or Q&As. The theatre itself feels grown-up without being pretentious: comfortable seating that doesn't have you wedged next to a stranger, and a bar you can actually sit in beforehand with a glass of something decent rather than watered-down cinema lager.
