Head down to Newington Causeway and you'll find yourself in Mercato Metropolitano's food hall — a chaotic, brilliant sprawl of independent vendors. Dub Pan occupies a corner spot here, and it's where you want to be if you're after genuine Caribbean flavours that don't pretend to be anything fancier than they are. The jerk is properly spiced, the rice and peas actually taste like someone's nan made them, and you'll eat standing up or grab a stool at a shared table, which somehow makes it taste better.
