You'll find Finch's tucked away on Finsbury Square, that lovely Georgian stretch north of Old Street that most people rush past without noticing. It's the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation—the noise level is civilised, the crowd is properly mixed (locals, suits, freelancers with laptops), and everyone seems genuinely happy to be there. The food is straightforward and well-executed: good sausages, proper pies, the sort of thing that makes you want to come back. They take their drinks seriously without being pompous about it, which is refreshing.
