Walk into Fire Stables on Church Road and you'll immediately get why this place has such loyal regulars. It's a proper neighbourhood pub—the sort where people linger over pints, the staff know your name by visit three, and there's actual conversation happening rather than everyone glued to their phones. The wood-fired pizzas are legitimately good (and a genuinely different offer for a pub), the ales rotate, and there's a real sense that someone behind the bar actually cares about what they're pouring. It's unpretentious but not rough around the edges, busy without feeling chaotic.
