Walk into the Tea Building on Shoreditch High Street and you're stepping into something genuinely different. Hoppers feels lived-in rather than designed, with exposed brick and proper kitchen energy that makes you want to watch the chefs work. The menu reads like someone's actually been to Sri Lanka and cared enough to get it right: lamprais wrapped in pastry, kottu roti that's genuinely chaotic in the best way, and obviously, hoppers—those crispy, eggy pancakes that arrive sizzling. Expect to share, expect queues, expect to be ordering more than you planned.
