You'll walk into Hudson's House expecting the usual hotel restaurant experience—white tablecloths, polite indifference, overpriced risotto. Instead, you get something genuinely good. It's tucked inside the St Giles Hotel on Bedford Avenue, just north of the British Museum, but the cooking is what matters here. The menu reads like someone actually cares about British food beyond the tourist version: expect seasonal dishes that lean into proper technique without the self-consciousness. The room itself is handsome in that understated way—high ceilings, plenty of space, people having proper meals rather than just passing through.
