Huffkins Oxford Street (Huffkins at John Lewis & Partners)

You'd be forgiven for walking past this one—it's tucked away on the fourth floor of John Lewis, which means you actually get to escape the Oxford Street madness and sit down properly. Huffkins is a proper Cotswolds bakery that's been doing this for decades, and they've brought their actual baking operation to this London outpost. The sourdough is properly excellent, the pastries are buttery and unpretentious, and the cakes rotate seasonally so there's always something worth ordering. It's the kind of place where you can actually taste the care taken.
