Head up the stairs to IKLECTIK and you've entered one of South London's most deliberately uncompromising spaces. It's part café, part performance hall, part cultural crossroads – the kind of place where you might catch an avant-garde theatre piece, a DJ set from a left-field electronic producer, or just grab a coffee whilst artists tinker with installations. The crowd here is refreshingly mixed: creative types mixing with locals who've stumbled in from Rye Lane below, everyone equally welcomed into what feels like a proper community project rather than a venue trying too hard. You get a real sense they're programming what they actually believe in, not what algorithms suggest.
