Ippudo Canary Wharf

Proper ramen that doesn't mess about. Ippudo does what it does brilliantly—rich broths, springy noodles, zero pretension.

You're in Canary Wharf, so fair warning: this is a slick, modern operation in the Crossrail Place development, all polished concrete and clean lines. But walk in and you're hit with the good stuff—that unmistakable aroma of tonkotsu broth that's been simmering for hours. The ramen menu is focused but genuinely excellent: silky pork belly, perfectly soft-boiled eggs, noodles with proper bite. It's the kind of place where Japanese salarymen and local office workers queue up because it delivers exactly what it promises. Service is quick and friendly without being fussy. At around £12-15 a bowl, you're getting quality without London's usual markup nonsense.
