Walk into Lolo and you're in proper Spanish territory—the kind of place where they're more interested in pouring you a decent glass of manzanilla than impressing you with theatrics. It's small, buzzy, and genuinely unpretentious, tucked away on Bermondsey Street amongst the gallery spaces and vintage shops. You'll find yourself elbow-to-elbow with locals ordering croquetas and jamón ibérico, the sort of honest Spanish cooking that doesn't need much fanfare. José Pizarro's reputation precedes him, but Lolo itself feels refreshingly low-key—no Instagram nonsense, just really good food and drinks done right.
