You'll find yourself on Brixton Water Lane, in one of those converted Victorian warehouses that's managed to stay proper rather than Instagram-bait. Maremma does the Tuscan thing without trying too hard: the kind of place where your server knows their stuff but doesn't make a meal of it. The pasta is made in-house, the wine list punches well above what you'd expect for the neighbourhood, and they've clearly got someone in the kitchen who spent real time in Italy rather than just reading a cookbook. It's intimate without being fussy—the sort of spot where you can have a brilliant meal with mates or take someone you're trying to impress, and either way it just works.
