Recharge Bethnal Green

Walk into Recharge and you'll immediately clock why the locals have made it their default weekday spot. Roman Road's been having a moment for a few years now, but this place actually feels like it belongs there rather than just cashing in on the area's cool-kid status. The coffee's genuinely excellent—they're not messing about with single-origin beans just to charge £5 a cup. The brunch menu hits different too, proper food rather than avocado toast Instagram fodder. Bethnal Green's got plenty of cafés fighting for your attention, but Recharge does the fundamentals brilliantly and doesn't try too hard.
