You walk into Refuel and immediately clock the Firmdale touch—it's that confident, unshowy glamour they do so well. The dining room has this lived-in energy, all exposed brick, good art on the walls, and enough vintage touches to feel character-filled without trying too hard. The menu does British done right: think hangover-busting breakfasts, solid lunches, and dinners that don't overcomplicate things. It's the sort of place you'll find proper Soho types actually eating at, not just Instagramming, which says everything about how genuine it feels. Service is switched-on without being stuffy, and the wine list knows what it's doing.
