You descend into the crypt beneath St Peter's Church in Walworth and suddenly you're in this beautifully converted brick space where Saint Louie does things properly. The sourdough is the real deal—proper fermentation, proper flavour—and the pastries have that continental finesse without the eye-watering prices you'd pay in Mayfair. It's the kind of place where you actually want to know what goes into your breakfast, and they're happy to tell you. The setting itself is rather special: exposed stonework, proper character, and a sense that you've stumbled onto something locals actually care about rather than somewhere designed for Instagram.
