Satay Street BOXPARK Shoreditch
Proper Thai street food in BOXPARK's converted warehouse—satay that actually tastes like it's been charred over coals, not sous-vide'd to death.

You're threading through BOXPARK's industrial courtyard on Bethnal Green Road, dodging the brewery queues and vintage furniture hunters, when the smell of grilled meat and tamarind hits you. Satay Street does what it says on the tin: skewers of chicken, pork, and prawns that arrive still smoking, alongside the kind of peanut sauce that makes you wonder why everywhere else is so timid with theirs. It's unpretentious in the best way—order at the counter, grab a stool, watch your food come together in front of you. The pad thai's sharp with lime, the larb's got proper heat, and somehow they've cracked the thing most London Thai places miss: actual flavour that doesn't apologise for itself. Perfect for when you want proper food without the tablecloth nonsense.
