Walk into Tannin & Oak and you're in the kind of place where the staff will genuinely chat about what you're drinking without being annoying about it. West Hampstead's got a few decent spots, but this one stands out because they've actually thought about their wine selection—natural wines alongside classics, all at prices that don't make you wince. You'll find yourself perched at the bar or squeezed into a corner table with a glass of something interesting and a board of proper cured meats. It's the sort of neighbourhood wine bar that makes you realise how rare it is to find somewhere this unpretentious and knowledgeable in one go.
