You walk into what feels like Luton's living room – a massive, bustling Wetherspoons that's taken over a beautiful old building right on Bridge Street. The high ceilings and period features give it more character than your average 'Spoons, and at breakfast time it's packed with everyone from shift workers heading home to families getting fed before hitting the shops. The usual suspects are all here – full English for under a fiver, curry club on Thursdays, and pints that won't break the bank. It gets properly busy on weekends when the whole of central Luton seems to pile in, but that's half the charm. The staff move at lightning speed and somehow keep everything running smoothly even when it's three-deep at the bar.
