The Goose

A proper neighbourhood pub on Bloom Street where regulars outnumber tourists and the drinks list actually has some thought behind it.

casualcosylivelytraditionalbar
You're walking down Bloom Street in the Northern Quarter, past the indie shops and galleries, when you spot The Goose tucked away like it's been there forever. Inside, it's all dark wood, brass fixtures, and that particular smell of a pub that's genuinely lived-in rather than designed to look lived-in. The bar staff know their regulars by name, and they'll make you a decent cocktail if you ask, but mostly people are here for proper ales, decent wine, and the kind of atmosphere where you can actually hear the person next to you. It's the sort of place that works for a quick pint after work or settling in for the evening without any fuss.
