Habibi Margate

Head down to the lower ground floor of the Crescent Victoria Hotel on Fort Crescent and you've found something worth seeking out. Habibi does Lebanese food without pretension—the kind of place where you're ordering mezze to share, tearing flatbread, and getting properly stuck in. The room's intimate in that basement way, all warm lighting and close tables, which somehow makes it feel less like you're eating in a hotel and more like you've been welcomed into someone's front room. Service is genuinely warm here, the sort where they actually care whether you're enjoying yourself.
