Barca Art Bar

Walk up High Street in Gosforth and you'll find Barca Art Bar tucked in amongst the usual chain parade—except this place has personality. It's got that Spanish vibe without being try-hard about it: artwork plastered everywhere, decent shouts of colour, the kind of place where you genuinely see people from the neighbourhood nursing drinks rather than posing for Instagram. The cocktail list is solid, prices won't break the bank (you're looking at around £8-12 a drink), and there's a real sense that the staff actually care about what they're pouring. It's become exactly what Gosforth needed—somewhere between a proper local and somewhere you'd actually want to bring mates.
