You'll spot the palm fronds and bamboo before you even step inside this delightfully bonkers tropical escape on Nelson Street. The whole place commits hard to the tiki theme – we're talking carved masks, vintage surfboards, and enough plastic flamingos to stock a garden centre. The coffee here is properly good, which honestly comes as a relief when you're surrounded by so much kitsch. They do decent flat whites alongside more adventurous coconut-laced numbers that actually work. The food leans into the Hawaiian thing without going completely mad – think decent toasties alongside more exotic fare. It's the kind of place that could easily tip into naff territory, but somehow pulls it off through sheer commitment to the bit. Perfect when you need cheering up on a grey Tuesday morning.
