Premier Inn Newcastle Quayside hotel
Chain hotel dining that's surprisingly decent, with Quayside views that make up for predictable pub grub and the occasional conference crowd.
🍴 British pubcasualfamily-friendlyrelaxedrestaurant
You're not expecting miracles from a Premier Inn restaurant, but the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Tyne make this feel less corporate than most. The menu sticks to safe territory - fish and chips, burgers, the usual suspects - but it's executed well enough and the portions won't leave you hungry.
The real draw is the location. You're right on the Quayside with proper river views, and while the dining room has that familiar chain hotel aesthetic, it's bright and airy rather than soul-crushingly bland. Service can be hit-and-miss depending on whether there's a wedding party or business conference monopolising the staff, but for a reliable meal with a view when you can't be bothered venturing far from your room, it does the job.
