The Charles Bradlaugh
Town centre Wetherspoons with a proper political edge - named after Northampton's radical Victorian MP who fought the establishment.

You'll find this sprawling Wetherspoons right in the heart of town on Earl Street, and it's got more character than your average 'Spoons. Named after Charles Bradlaugh - Northampton's famously atheist Victorian MP who caused a right stir in Parliament - the pub wears its radical heritage proudly with historical displays dotting the walls.
The usual Wetherspoons formula applies: proper cheap pints, decent grub that won't break the bank, and a crowd that's properly mixed. Weekend evenings get properly lively with the late licence pulling in everyone from students to seasoned drinkers, whilst Sunday afternoons are more civilised affairs. The building itself is impressive - high ceilings and plenty of space mean you can usually find a spot even when it's busy.
