Fat Cat Brewery
Independent brewpub where they actually brew the beer on-site—proper craft stuff, not the mass-produced nonsense.

Head down Lawson Road towards the river and you'll find yourself in one of Norwich's best-kept corners. The Fat Cat is a no-nonsense kind of place: exposed brick, brewing equipment visible through the windows, and a tap list that reads like a love letter to British hop varieties. You're drinking beer made metres from where you're sitting, which sounds gimmicky until you taste it—clean, bold, seasonal stuff that changes regularly. The crowd's mixed: regulars nursing pints, groups of mates, the odd brewery tour getting the full explanation of their process. It's unpretentious without trying to be, which is harder than it sounds.
