You're not expecting much from a cinema bar, especially one tucked into a retail park off Redfield Way. But this place actually gets it right. The cocktails are properly made rather than pre-mixed sugary nonsense, and they've got a wine list that won't make you wince at the prices. The space feels more like a proper bar that happens to be attached to a cinema rather than an afterthought. It's particularly brilliant if you're catching a late showing and want to ease into the evening with a drink first. The staff know their way around a shaker, and you can take your drink into the screening if you're watching one of their premium showings. Sure, it's not exactly city centre convenient, but when you're already heading out to the cinema anyway, having somewhere decent for a pre-film drink makes the whole experience feel less corporate.
