You know exactly what you're getting when you walk into this slice of Oz right in the heart of Union Street's party zone. The massive screens show everything from Premier League to rugby, while the Aussie memorabilia and didgeridoo soundtrack transport you somewhere between Plymouth and Perth. The crowd's a proper mix – uni students, squaddies from Devonport, and locals who've been coming here since it opened. The food does the job brilliantly: think loaded nachos that could feed three, decent burgers, and a Sunday roast that's better than it has any right to be. Staff are sound and keep the drinks flowing, which matters when you're settling in for the long haul. It gets absolutely rammed on match days and weekend nights, but that's half the appeal.
