Planted right in the heart of Poole town centre on Lagland Street, it's the sort of place where you can nurse a £1.99 pint and actually afford to stay for a second one. The space is functional rather than fancy—the kind of pub where pensioners settle in for breakfast at opening time and after-work crowds pile in come 5pm. Food's decent enough if you're after a proper meal rather than something Instagram-worthy: think burgers, pies and the usual suspects, all reasonably priced. It's honest boozing territory, really.
