Carluccio's

You're walking into Carluccio's knowing exactly what you're getting—and that's rather the point. This isn't trying to reinvent the wheel; it's doing solid, unfussy Italian food in a bright, contemporary space near the water. The pasta dishes are genuinely good (the pappardelle gets regular love), the wine list is sensibly curated, and the staff actually know their stuff without being pretentious about it. It's packed at lunchtime with office workers and shoppers from Blake House, and does nice work for lazy weekend brunches too.
