Tucked inside the Pentahotel on Oxford Road, this bar has quietly become Reading's unofficial after-hours headquarters, staying open round the clock when the rest of the town centre has called it a night. The space feels more Berlin boutique hotel than corporate chain - all industrial lighting and carefully distressed furniture that somehow works. Yes, it's primarily a hotel bar, but locals have cottoned on that it's one of the few places you can grab a proper cocktail at 2am on a Tuesday. The drinks menu is surprisingly decent, with craft beers and cocktails that don't taste like they've been mixed by someone reading instructions off the back of a bottle.
