Akentannos

Walk into Akentannos and you're stepping into the kind of neighbourhood Italian you actually want on your doorstep. Sharrow Vale's got plenty of decent spots, but this one's got the basics sorted: they're making their own pasta, the pizzas come out of a proper wood-fired oven, and the wine list knows what it's doing without being show-offy about it. It's the sort of place where regulars book weeks ahead and the staff actually remember your name. Service moves at the right pace—not rushed, not glacial—and the room's got enough buzz that you don't feel like you're intruding on someone else's date night.
