You wouldn't expect much from a hotel bar tucked away on Church Street, but this place has quietly become one of Chalvey's better drinking spots. The bar feels more like a proper pub than your typical corporate hotel setup, with locals mixing easily with travellers heading to nearby Windsor. The cocktail menu is actually decent - they know their way around a proper Old Fashioned - and the food goes well beyond standard hotel fare. It's the sort of place where you pop in for one drink and end up staying for three, especially when the alternative is trekking into the town centre. The staff are sound and the atmosphere is relaxed without being stuffy.
